Our series of portrait continues with yet another talent, Lia Amaral.
A Brazilian national, Lia Amaral conducted her PhD in meteorology at Brazilian National Institute for Space Research (INPE), during which Lia spent one year of field work in Italy at Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche.
In 2019, Lia moved to France to work at research laboratory LEGOS, mostly on gathering weather data in a gigantic database.
Lia joined BWI in May 2023 to serve as our meteorologist.
Lia is all about helping advance the quality of BWI core engine, so our clients get the best hydrological data and insights out of weather forecasts.
