Description détaillée du poste

Vous seriez la première / le premier à occuper la fonction d’Account Executive, par conséquent, les activités suivantes sont à prévoir :

  • Contribution essentielle aux actions de stabilisation du product-market fit, tant dans la définition des offres (marketing mix) que dans la recherche du modèle économique le plus favorable, et la contractualisation avec des partenaires (si channel à recruter plutôt que vente directe).
  • Contribution active à l’établissement des plans d’affaires (business plan) de l’entreprise,
  • Contribution, en tant que client interne, à l’expression des besoins en matière de marketing (demand gen) et de communication (développement de la notoriété),
  • Participation au codir « marché » hebdomadaire, qui implique les coéquipiers customer facing, et qui consiste en une revue de pipeline collaborative.

Vendre l’offre et développer le portefeuille de clients

La première mission du Key Account Manager est de faire fructifier les plus gros clients de l’entreprise :

  • Analyser les besoins des clients, promouvoir l’offre, influer les consultations en rédigeant des cahiers des charges,
  • Réaliser la cartographie des comptes, et le lobbying en amont de la sortie des appels d’offres,
  • Répondre aux appels d’offre, rédiger les propositions commerciales,
  • Pour les affaires complexes, coordonner l’effort de réponse et manager les différents corps de métier invités à participer à la construction de l’offre,

Several image processing engineer positions are available
, with the following objectives:

  • Design and develop an algorithmic processing chain, utilizing or not utilizing available open-source components, aimed at inventorying and evaluating water levels in lakes and reservoirs.
  • Design and develop an algorithmic chain for detecting turbid continental waters, with operational implementation in the geographic areas specified by our clients.
  • Develop end-to-end algorithmic processing chains to:
    • Assess water quality from satellite images (multispectral, hyperspectral, SAR),
    • Assess sediment transport (existence, masses, etc.) from satellite analysis of turbidity,
    • Assess water temperature from infrared images.

These chains will include evaluating, parameterizing, and selecting the appropriate inversion functions and conducting the necessary validation campaigns (possibly in collaboration with scientific research laboratories).

Particular attention will be paid in the design of the chains to the maintainability of inversion methods, with complexities arising from the difficulty in handling existing works (limited or non-existent documentation, low interoperability, opaque licenses) and their generalization.

Candidates will have demonstrated their academic excellence, have successful experience(s) in team software development, and will have a drive for contributing to making of the downstream segment of the space value chain a key driver for climate adaptation and environmental sustainability.

Signal processing engineer

BWI is looking for a curious and innovative signal processing engineer to join our upstream team in Toulouse.

The upstream team is dedicated to conceiving and developing systems for hydrology-related data acquisition, in particular a demonstration mission of radar altimetry satellites with high temporal revisit.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in remote sensing, with expertise in analyzing, correcting and manipulating satellite data. We are seeking a candidate capable of conducting studies autonomously and proposing and developing new ideas for the mission center processing chains. The candidate will also collaborate with downstream software developers, in charge of coding.

Main tasks:

  • Propose and develop algorithms to process new generation radar altimetry data (L0 to L1)
  • Propose and develop algorithms to implement geophysical corrections and provide Water Surface Elevation product (L1 to L2)
  • Process and analyze data from radar altimetry satellites to qualify the proposed processing chains performance

Flight Dynamics System engineer

BWI is looking for a Flight Dynamics System (FDS) engineer at our Toulouse office.

The FDS engineer will be a part of our radar altimetry satellite project, which goal is to demonstrate the capability of providing high-revisit hydrology data. As a member of the upstream team, the engineer will contribute to the global performance of our mission.

This is a role suited for an ambitious professional wanting to solve complex problems and develop state of the art precise orbit determination for small satellites. The FDS engineer will be in charge of both the Orbit dynamics analysis and the orbit restitution ground software development.

Main tasks:

  • Orbit analysis and selection according to mission needs
  • Functional expertise support for satellite mission center and in-flight validation
  • Propose injection and transfer strategy
  • Propose and develop algorithms to process GNSS data, in order to determine precisely the satellite orbit

The project to manage is a radar altimetry satellite, which goal is to demonstrate the capability of providing high-revisit hydrology data. The PMO will work hand in hand with the system engineer and PA/QA manager.

The PMO will be responsible during project lifetime for programmatic aspects, budget, contractual obligations, management of the external resources and suppliers in an integrated and agile mindset.

The most senior candidates will also play a role in balloon project management.

BWI is looking for a Product Assurance/Quality Assurance (PA/QA) manager to join our upstream team in Toulouse.

The project to manage is a radar altimetry satellite, which goal is to demonstrate the capability of providing high-revisit hydrology data. The PA/QA will work hand in hand with the system engineer and the Project Management Officer.

The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker, autonomous, with a solution-focused approach. The PA/QA manager will be responsible for ensuring the quality of development, production processes, and services provided within the demonstration mission.

  • Establish the Product Assurance requirements baseline for all elements of the project and monitor quality
  • Produce and implement plans, define inputs/outputs, participants, responsibilities, interfaces, and coordinate efforts of participants

Downstream Project Management Officer

BWI is looking for a Downstream Project Management Officer.

Company description

BWI, short for Blue Water Intelligence, is a basin digitization company established in Toulouse, France. Specializing in monitoring inland surface water reserves worldwide, BWI utilizes in-situ data, spaceborne observations, and machine learning to provide hydrological insights to clients. By offering online subscription services, BWI aims to produce scalable hydrological forecasts for climate change mitigation and water stress management.

Role description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Management Officer at BWI in Toulouse or in Paris, France. The Project Management Officer will be responsible for overseeing analytical tasks, program management, communication with stakeholders, project management, and budgeting on a day-to-day basis. You will play a key role in managing relationships with existing clients, both private and public, while developing new programs with institutional stakeholders. You will focus on two primary areas: managing ongoing projects and the success of our existing clients, and acting as a bid manager in the preparation and overseeing of cooperative initiatives.

The role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to constantly balance client requirements and project profitability. Approximately two-thirds of your work will involve international projects.

Main responsibilities

Managing existing clients

  • Oversee client operations and ongoing projects, ensuring compliance with performance, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Act as a proactive customer success leader, that is to say as the primary point of contact for clients to address their needs and anticipate future requirements.
