Meet Gavriel Langer, DevOps Engineer Intern at BWI. Based in Paris and specializing in cybersecurity, Gavriel builds and secures the cloud infrastructure behind BWI’s hydrological forecasting platform. Discover his journey and what drew him to BWI.
We’re pleased to welcome Gavriel Langer, DevOps Engineer Intern at BWI. With a background in cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure, Gabriel helps build and secure the infrastructure that supports BWI’s hydrological forecasting platform.
Based in Paris, Gavriel, 21, is a fourth-year engineering student at ESIEA, an engineering school specializing in digital sciences and technologies, where he focuses on cybersecurity. He is particularly interested in operational security and digital sovereignty — themes that resonate closely with BWI’s own work. His studies have also taken him abroad, with a semester in computer engineering at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi.
At BWI, Gabriel works as a DevOps Engineer Intern, acting as cloud infrastructure architect within the organization. His role involves managing and scaling BWI’s Infrastructure as a Service — from API key rotation to password management — keeping the platform’s cloud foundations robust and secure.
Prior to joining BWI, Gavriel gained hands-on experience in IT support and automation at Cabinet LC Conseils, where he designed solutions to automate accounting data flows and handled deployments, security updates and user support. Alongside his studies, he has led ambitious personal and academic projects spanning large-scale data engineering, cryptography and embedded systems.
Gavriel chose to join BWI for the opportunity it offered — and stayed for its healthy, positive company culture, which he considers one of the best things about working here.
