Employment Type

Full-time, onsite, located in Toulouse (France) or Paris (France). In case a hybrid work environment is what you’re aiming at, you may take for granted 1 (one) day of remote work per week.

Hiring process for tech jobs

The typical hiring process comprises 3 interviews and will last 2 weeks.

  • The process always starts with a technical interview for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • Then, there’s an interview about the role, the project, the team, for about an hour.
  • And last, there’s a last interview during which we’ll be making an offer to you.

Software Engineer for Developing Altimetric Constellation Mission Center

Toulouse (hybrid possible) / Full time

Job overview

We’re looking for a Space Mission Center Software Engineer to work closely with the Mission Center team for developing production, distribution and monitoring components with high-level of quality, reliability and performance.

This position places you as an important part of the Mission Centre component, with a wide variety of interfaces : scientif processing chain, control center, infrastructure and other teams of the company involved in the project.

Core missions

  1. Development of the production component
  • Integrate scientific processing chain into Argo workflow scheduler and develop all pre and post treatment need to handle data flows.
  • Develop tools to interface Control Center allowing to generate telecommand for payloads and retrieve quickly telemetry. They also carry out some checks to ensure the completeness of the recovered data.
  • Develop production monitoring software to allow operator knowing the production status and alert when a problem occured.

 

  1. Development of the distribution component
  • Develop a spatial data catalog in order to provide data to users in a normalized way, consistent with STAC specification.
  • Implement a download end-point helping users to retrieve scientific product after spatial-temporal request.

 

  1. Development of the monitoring component
  • Develop a specific software based on data warehouse technology to store and agregate a huge amount of payload parameters in order to survey payloads healthy.
  • Centralize and manage metrics and logs from all compnents of the Mission Centre and help team member to operate it providing consistent dashboard and alerts.

 

  1. Component Integration and test campains
  • Ensure integration activities and automatic test campaing regarding company devops rules and tools.
  • Optimize migration and installation on successive environment.
  • Participate to end-to-end tests with external component of the project simulating a representative day life of the constellation and Mission Centre operations.

 

Desired profile

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in software development, with experience in integration activities with devops constraint.
  • Python software development: writing clean, high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code using automated unit tests.
  • Proficiency in develoment environment and programming tools (Python and related libraries, Git, Jira) as well as containerization process.
  • Knowledge of workflow scheduler, monitoring stack based on Grafana, database request and object storage infrastructure are recommanded
  • Knowledge of the space domain is a plus, in particular STAC specification
  • Comfortable in a collaborative environment.
  • Very good interpersonal skills, proactive and reliable.
  • Fluent in French preferred; professional English essential.

Operational Altimetry Processing Chain Development Lead

Toulouse (hybrid possible) / Full time

Job overview

As the Manager in charge of developing operational processing chains within our space project, you will be responsible for industrializing innovative scientific algorithms with a high level of performance to provide quickly our users with quality data.

This position places you at the interface between science and technology, in close relationship with experts in signal processing on the one hand and the architects of the production center on the other.

Core missions

  1. Development of operational altimeter chains
  • Transform scientific equations into operational code running in the company’s cloud infrastructure.
  • Take a critical look at the scientific documentation in order to identify shortcomings or ambiguities.
  • Optimize programs to reduce memory load and disk access, and thus limit associated operating costs.
  • Format all input data to facilitate their processing.
  • Determine and automate the testing campaigns for each processing chains to ensure their relevance, robustness, and accuracy.

 

  1. Operational qualification campaign
  • Implement tools to build satellite telemetry from instrumental simulation data.
  • Set up datasets that allow the simulation of instrument measurements over a period of several days, integrating constraints and orbital characteristics of the mission.

 

Desired profile

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in software development, with experience applying scientific methods.
  • Python software development: writing clean, high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code using automated unit tests.
  • Proficiency in data processing and programming tools (Python and related libraries, Git, Jira) as well as containerization process.
  • Good knowledge of scientific data formats and associated processing libraries.
  • Comfortable in a collaborative environment
  • Very good interpersonal skills, proactive and reliable
  • Knowledge of the space domain is a plus
