BWI at the Salon des Maires et des Collectivités Locales

BWI had the privilege of exhibiting at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles at the Salon des Maires et des Collectivités Locales on the 22nd of November, 2023

CEO Jeremy Fain was invited to present BWI’s activities at the Salon des Maires et des Collectivités Locales yesterday. In these precarious times of climate change, it was an opportunity to detail some of the characteristics of virtual stations:

  • Immediate deployment
  • No need for installation or complex procedures
  • Immediate supply of data to reinforce existing sensors and enrich early warning systems

Earth observation data is very beneficial because it helps us determine various characteristics needed to calculate discharge. These include elevation of the ground, runoff levels, precipitation, and forecasts. This would be of prime importance for environmental services as it helps avert natural disasters like floods but also to stay safeguarded in the times of climate change and global warming.

BWI was delighted to be surrounded by other innovative companies that utilise space to solve societal problems: PROMÉTHÉE Earth Intelligence, CLS Group (Collecte Localisation Satellites), netcarbon and Kayrros

On this occasion, we would like to extend our gratitude to Centre National d’Études Spatiales for hosting this special event. BWI also thanks Connect by CNES and SCO teams for making us feel welcome on the Satellite Services & Data collective stand at the Salon des Maires et des Collectivités Locales.
