BWI’s Chairman of the Board was part of French President Emmanuel Macron’s delegation at this prestigious event, among 15 start-ups and 4 region presidents.
BWI is extremely proud to inform you that our Chairman of the Board, Philippe Gautier, was invited to accompany French President Emmanuel Macron to the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum on January 17, 2024 in Davos. On this occassion, we would like to thank him for having invited us to be a member of his delegation at this prestigious event that hosts several distinguished political decision makers, world leaders, and social entrepreneurs.
Established in the 1970’s, the World Economic Forum is a non-profit organization based in Geneva. It provides a platform for influential leaders from the fields of politics, business, and culture to convene and help shape global agendas, putting emphasis on values such as independence, impartiality, and high governance standards. Motivated by a commitment to solving global issues, the Forum collaborates across a wide range of organizational perspectives to drive positive change. For over five decades, its activities have led to ground-breaking initiatives, advancements, economic solutions, and countless projects, contributing to making the world a better place to live. The forum still stays true to it’s distinctive institutional culture based on the stakeholder theory, which states that an organization is answerable to all segments of society.
The 54th edition of this annual event in Davos, which brings together nearly 3000 participants, including more than 1600 business leaders and 300 top politicians from all over the globe, emphasizes the core principles that underpin trust, such as transparency, consistency, and accountability. Moreover, Artificial Intelligence and long-run strategies for climate and energy were among the primary points of discussion. Hence, BWI fits perfectly in this perspective, thanks to our cutting-edge technology and emphasis on sustainability.
Finally, BWI is proud to be a part of the La French Tech team and contribute to diverse initiatives to promote resilience to climate change and a better world! We would also like to extend our thanks to Business France.
