We’re excited to welcome Pascal Cauquil to our team as a Ground Segment Engineer. With 25 years of professional space systems experience, Pascal brings a wealth of expertise to BWI and will play a key role in advancing our upstream goals. We look forward to his enriching contributions.
Pascal Cauquil joined the BWI team as a Ground Segment Engineer in October 2024. He brings a strong academic foundation in Mathematics and Computer Modeling from Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse, along with more than 25 years of professional experience. Over his career, Pascal has held several key roles in Earth Observation projects, including Software Engineer, CTO, French Mission Center Designer, and Back-end Product Owner for the SWOT product distribution center.
At BWI, Pascal will lead ground segment design and architecture for spatial and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) projects. He’ll bridge the gap between payload data acquisition and our web portal, where processed products are generated by our data chains. Additionally, he will oversee the development of hydrological data processing.
Beyond his impressive professional background, Pascal is a passionate photographer, an avid climber, and an enthusiastic salsa and bachata dancer.
Working at a human-centered company dedicated to the critical field of water management is deeply meaningful to him and we are exctied to see his contributions at BWI.
