Introducing Ilhom Ismoilov – Area Manager

We’re pleased to welcome Ilhom Ismoilov, Area Manager for CIS countries at BWI. With deep experience across water, energy and infrastructure, Ilhom connects governments, financial institutions and BWI’s technical teams to bring water intelligence solutions to the region.

Based in Paris for more than 25 years, Ilhom is originally from Tajikistan. He holds a master’s degree from IAE Paris – Sorbonne Business School, and brings extensive experience across a wide range of sectors: water management, energy, infrastructure, satellite communications, and process and business automation.

At BWI, Ilhom is Area Manager for the CIS countries, with a particular focus on Central Asia. His role brings together many parties: working with public entities, governments and financial organisations, coordinating with BWI’s internal technical team to design the right solutions, and engaging international financial institutions to unlock financing opportunities for partners.

Prior to joining BWI, Ilhom built a career spanning business development, key account management and project delivery across the CIS, Europe and beyond, from smart metering and utilities to automation services and satellite communications, consistently developing markets across the region.

For Ilhom, joining BWI was a natural choice. He sees water management as a critical issue not only locally but regionally, and coming from Central Asia, where water is a strategic resource, it’s a challenge he has been aware of from the start.

What he enjoys most is working with people from different international and cultural backgrounds, both within the team and among partners – an enriching experience that lets him learn new perspectives every day.
