Introducing Loïc Grossetete – AI Software Engineer

We’re excited to welcome Loïc Grossetete, AI Software Engineer at BWI. With a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and a passion for environmental science, Loïc works on developing and fine-tuning AI models for river discharge prediction – contributing to more accurate and sustainable water management worldwide.

We’re delighted to welcome Loïc Grossetete to BWI as an AI Software Engineer. Originally from Bordeaux, Loïc joined the team in July 2025 after completing a PhD in Artificial Intelligence applied to electron microscopy at the CNRS and at ENAC in Toulouse.

Loïc shares his journey, motivations and insights into his role at BWI.

Before joining BWI, Loïc built a strong foundation in AI and research through several hands-on experiences across France, Canada, and the U.S., working on machine learning, 3D simulations and data visualization projects. These experiences have shaped his scientific curiosity and precision-driven mindset.

At BWI, Loïc contributes to the development and fine-tuning of AI models for river discharge prediction, aiming to achieve high levels of accuracy and reliability – essential for creating better hydrological forecasting tools worldwide. His work bridges artificial intelligence and hydrology, a challenge he finds both technically demanding and deeply meaningful.

Loïc shares that what he enjoys most at BWI is the team spirit and the intellectual challenge of blending AI with environmental science – two fields that inspire him to make a positive impact on climate resilience.

We’re proud to have Loïc on board and can’t wait to see his continued contributions to our mission.

Welcome, Loïc!
