Version 2.8.0
Less than two months after our last update, we are pleased to announce the release of BWI services version 2.8.0! This new version is part of our ongoing commitment to enriching the system, facilitating access to hydrological data, and offering our customers an ever more powerful and intuitive experience.
In this version, BWI introduces additional hydrological indicators for Flow Duration Curves. In concrete terms, our users can now visualize the average annual distribution of flows, a valuable advance for analyzing and anticipating low and high water phenomena. What’s new: BWI goes beyond simply providing raw data to offer a first layer of interpretative analysis. Users gain a better understanding of hydrological behavior, with a more precise characterization of flows. What’s more, to make data exploitation even easier, it is now possible to download a complete package including data, graphs and generated visuals. This saves time for anyone wishing to quickly integrate this information into their analyses or reports.
Another major new feature of version 2.8.0 is the concrete implementation of our globalization efforts. Previously designed for targeted geographical contexts, the platform can now be deployed anywhere in the world. What this means: our customers can benefit from BWI’s hydrological forecasts, wherever they are, without geographical constraints. Kazakhstan can now benefit from this new extension capacity. A powerful symbol, and a new step towards a global service which, tomorrow, will cover new territories to better support our international customers in their local needs.
Because a good tool is also a pleasant tool to use, we have made a number of improvements to BWI’s interface, directly inspired by feedback from our users. Two new background layers have been added: a satellite view, for those wishing to visualize landscapes in their natural context, and a more traditional map view, for a clear and precise reading of spatial data. These developments are in addition to a number of minor corrections and optimizations, enhancing both the reliability and ergonomics of the platform.
