BWI had the honor of being one of seventy exhibitors during the first edition of the CYCL’EAU trade show in Orléans. This important event, focused on water management, spanned from October 9th to October 10th, 2024. The two days allowed BWI to engage with leading innovators and solution providers in the water management sector, introducing recent, and established water management solutions.
BWI had the privilege of being one of seventy exhibitors at the inaugural CYCL’EAU in Orléans. Over the course of two days, BWI had the opportunity to connect with top innovators and solution providers in the water management field, showcasing both new and proven solutions—whether products or services—that are relevant to the Loire-Brittany basin and, in many cases, beyond.
CYCL’EAU is the premiere regional trade show for water management in France. Although this was its first edition in Orléans, the event has a strong presence in multiple regions, including Centre, Grand-Est, Occitanie, Hauts-de-France, and Sud, with origins tracing back to Bordeaux in 2017. Over the years, its mission of bringing together key stakeholders from each river basin for meaningful, high-quality interactions in an intimate, human-scale setting has become its defining strength.
The connections formed during these in-person exchanges aid in creating a robust network, capable of collaboratively developing solutions to water-related challenges. We deeply enjoyed the opportunity to talk with fellow exhibitors, stakeholders, and attendees who are equally passionate about advancing water management practices. The vibrant atmosphere fostered meaningful discussions about innovative approaches to tackling water-related issues.
The event was structured in a way that dispersed the panel discussions effectively, making them particularly enlightening thanks to the diverse group of speakers, each focusing on a different facet of complex water management. Jeremy Fain, our CEO, participated in the panel discussion “From Data to Decision Support: The Challenges of Digital Technology”.
This dynamic conversation, moderated by Pauline Boyer, highlighted the significance of data in making informed decisions for effective water resource management. Notable contributions included Satis Ingénierie’s expertise in physical modelling (pumping stations, spillways, hydraulic transients, etc.), the Climate Data Hub’s initiative to ethically leverage data in combating climate change, and Dametis’ comprehensive solution for optimizing the environmental performance of factories by reducing resource consumption and lowering carbon footprints.
