We are delighted and honored to announce that our Product Owner, Dr Mohamad Hamze, has been invited to be a panelist at a session entitled “Sustainable Food Value Chains: Leveraging Indigenous Technologies for Climate Resilience” during World Food India 2024 this September.
We are thrilled to announce that our Product Owner, Dr Mohamad Hamze, has been invited to be a panelist at one of the sessions during World Food India (WFI) 2024 this September. His expertise in sustainable food systems and climate resilience aligns perfectly with the theme of this global event. The entire BWI team shares in this honor and gratitude, recognizing the significance of his invitation to contribute to an enriching panel session: “Sustainable Food Value Chains: Leveraging Indigenous Technologies for Climate Resilience,” connecting experts worldwide.
World Food India 2024, scheduled from September 19th to 22nd at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, marks the third edition of this prestigious event. Organized by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), WFI has quickly established itself as a global platform for stakeholders across the food processing value chain. Moreover, with an 8.38% average annual growth rate, India’s food processing sector is booming. Given India’s status as the fastest-growing and fifth-largest economy in the world, these statistics support the organizers’ assertion that India is becoming the world’s food basket.
“The event aims to showcase innovations, foster connections, and encourage collaboration” (WFI, 2024).
The previous edition of WFI saw participation from 1,208 exhibitors. Furthermore, there were 15 country pavilions and 16 international delegations, including nine ministerial delegations. Consequently, the event became one of the largest congregations of salient players in the agri-food sector. This year promises to be equally impactful. The event will feature thematic sessions, exhibitions, policy roundtables, B2B, B2G, and G2G meetings, or even startup awards.
The multiple thematic sessions will focus on various aspects of the food processing sector, featuring industry leaders, startups, experts, or policymakers. Mohamad has been invited by MoFPI to participate in the Knowledge Session titled “Sustainable Food Value Chains: Leveraging Indigenous Technologies for Climate Resilience.” Moreover, Dr Vibha Dhawan, Director General, The Energy and Resources Institute will moderate the panel discussion (TERI).
Date of the panel discussion: 21st September at 10 am IST
